         <description><![CDATA[<h2>Information on ISO 9001:2000</h2><p>The International Organization of Standardization, (ISO) is a worldwide organization that develops many different kinds of Standards. </p><p><strong>ISO 9001</strong> is a series of documents that define requirements for the Quality Management System Standard. ISO 9001 is one of the documents in this set; it contains the actual requirements an organization must be in compliance with to become ISO 9001 Registered.</p><p style="margin-bottom: 0pt;" align="left">ISO 9001:2000 is the current version of the Standard. It was revised in the year 2000. Past versions of ISO 9000 included ISO 9002 and ISO 2003, but those are no longer in use.          <description><![CDATA[<h2 align="left">ISO Steering Team </h2> Determine who will be on the team. Include top management. Answer these questions:<ul><li> Who will be able to decide which employees will be assigned tasks? </li><li> Will they know whether the employees' workload will be able to accommodate the assigned tasks? </li><li> Who is responsible for resources and can make resources available to the ISO 9001:2000 project? </li><li> This group should continue meeting as the “ISO 9001:2000 Steering Team” </li></ul><p>Use the downloads listed in the right column of this page to prepare for your ISO Steering Team Meetings. </p><p>Prepare your Agenda:</p><ul><li> Explain the Implementation Steps to the team </li><li> Download and use the PowerPoint presentation ISO 9001:2000 Implementation </li><li> Use the PowerPoint presentation “ISO 9000 Implementation Tips and Techniques” to give the team an overview of the dos and don’ts of implementation. </li><li> Assign the tasks to individuals or teams. Complete the Quality Policy and Quality Goals as well as identifying key processes and their interrelation early on in the project. </li><li> Estimate the amount of time needed to complete each task based on the amount of resources available to the task.<h2>ISO Task Teams</h2><blockquote><p>The Task Teams that are set up will each look at the requirements for their process and procedure.          <title>Establish an Internal Audit Program</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<h2 align="center"> Internal ISO 9001 Audit Program</h2><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>Choose your audit team</h2><p>You will want to have a number of trained internal auditors for your audit program. You will be auditing each area of your facility once or twice a year, with an audit team of 1 to 4 auditors depending on the size of the area. You will want to have enough auditors trained so that the auditors will not audit their own area, and so that you are not pulling one person away from their work too often. A general guidance number is 10% of the total number of employees; a company with 50 employees would train 5 auditors, and company of 100 would train 10. As the number of employees goes up, the percentage would go down.</p><p>Look for employees that have a strength in investigating issues and that are good communicators.
